Manafold exists simply because people in our community struggle with meeting a basic human need—having enough to eat.
Founded in the middle of a pandemic in 2020, Manafold began with a simple act of compassion and started to work towards creating a direct way to meet the needs of our neighbors who struggle with food insecurities across Oklahoma City. Now, with a network of volunteers, and partner agencies and programs, we can get nutritious meals regularly and directly into the hands of those in need.
We believe that everyone in our community should have nutritious food. We are not a food bank. We started off simple. By using our own resources to prepare and serve meals, made with nutrient-filled ingredients, to our local community experiencing homelessness. We go to shelters and prepare meals on site or prepare meals, package, and distribute to those who we see on the streets of Oklahoma City.
Shortly after starting, we quickly found out that there are more individuals to serve than what we would often have. Those moments when our last freshly prepared meal gets handed out, leaving some people without food is always hard. We would sometimes go back home or the store to get and prepare more food. We often thought that this endeavor was going to be too difficult to complete on a regular basis. But thanks to the generosity of donators, volunteers, and sponsors, we can increase access to nutritious meals for more of our less fortunate, unhoused neighbors.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission to make a difference in our community.
